Cagrilintide has been studied alone and with semaglutide. CagriSema is the investigational combination of the two molecules. Results for that combination do not automatically apply to cagrilintide alone, and the name does not prove that an online product matches study material.

What the research shows
A 26-week phase 2 study tested cagrilintide alone in adults without diabetes. It required body mass index (BMI), a height-and-weight measure, of 30 or higher. BMI 27 or higher also qualified with high blood pressure or unhealthy blood-fat levels. A later 68-week study used BMI 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related health problem. Every group received food and activity guidance. It had separate cagrilintide, semaglutide, CagriSema, and placebo groups.
