Approval and product status

No FDA-approved epitalon drug product

Similar names do not mean that products have the same evidence. Epitalon, epitalon acetate, and older pineal extracts such as epithalamin are not automatically interchangeable evidence objects.

This is the status described in the dated review. It is not a live FDA database check.

What was measured in people?

Health outcomes · Unclear
FDA found no studies establishing insomnia outcomes for the nominated epitalon substances and route.
Body effects · Limited
Melatonin and cell-line findings are indirect and do not establish patient benefit.

A change in a hormone or body signal does not by itself prove a health benefit.

Limits that matter

Not independently medically reviewed. This tool does not recommend treatment.

A claim about longer life needs long-term results in people, not only laboratory mechanisms. This guide provides no injectable, sleep-treatment, or anti-aging regimen.

Still unknown: Changes in cells grown in a laboratory do not establish slower aging, longer life, cancer prevention, or improved health in people. Evidence from epithalamin cannot be reassigned to epitalon.

This record cannot check a package, seller, batch, or personal treatment. It does not provide sport clearance.

Exact product records in this review

These are selected records, not every product or form. A route means how a product enters the body.

No product label record is included here. That is not a separate approval decision. Read the status and sources above.

What the research shows

Laboratory work has reported telomere-related effects in human cell lines. Telomeres are protective ends of chromosomes. FDA's current review found melatonin-related information but no clinical insomnia studies using the nominated substances by the proposed route.

What the peptide approval checker shows

One name. Separate questions.

Approval applies to an exact product and use. Research may cover a different form, group of people, or outcome.

This tool keeps those questions separate. There is no safety score or treatment ranking.
