“Selank is FDA-approved in the United States.”

This statement leaves out a limit that changes its meaning.
No FDA-approved U.S. Selank product was found in the records checked. FDA's chemical record names the substance. It does not approve a drug. The request to add Selank acetate to a compounding list was withdrawn. That request was not approval.
